This 1,657 acre park has three beaches on the Great South Bay, a pool,
camping and fishing facilities, bridle paths, bike and hiking paths, nature
trails and a picnic area. It's a great place for deerwatching :-)
Connetquot River State Park Oakdale, NY
This 3,473-acre park offers guided nature walks, trout fishing, hiking
trails & bridle paths. This place is big compared
to the number of people who pass through it so if you're the solitary type
you can easily wander around for hours without seeing anyone who's not
feathered or furry :-)
West Sayville County Golf Course West Sayville, NY
A nice place to visit even if you don't play golf. The entrance to this 256-acre
course is lined with majestic maple trees. With fairways extending from both
sides of the entrance to protected wetlands, this is truly an idyllic setting.
