The CATS booth at the Broadway Flea Market
A week after we bid farewell to the Jellicle Junkyard at the Winter Garden Theater's CATS garage sale
we went back to Broadway for the annual BC/EFA Flea Market and Grand Auction. We showed up a little after
it opened at 10am and headed straight for the CATS booth. Left to right, that's Lenny Daniel (Alonzo), Jaymes Hodges (Macavity/Plato), Joel Briel (Gus/Growltiger) and me.
In the performance that I saw March 29, Lenny was playing Alonzo and Joel was in the CATS chorus. And yes,
the makeup patterns & wigs are different from those in the video.
In a little while Jon-Erik Goldberg joined the table and I was able to get a shot of all four
Cats. Jon-Erik was playing Pouncival when we last saw the show. Everybody was great about signing things
and posing for pictures. And check out all those bandages and braces... I guess being a Jellicle cat
can be dangerous business Seriously, the guys weren't injured... they were just clowning around :-)
Jon-Erik and Lenny both signed these Pouncival shoes for me.
What you don't see in the picture
on the right is the little dog that Lenny is hissing and spitting at.
Always in character!
Jaymes was kind enough to pose for two pictures with me. He even took off his sling :-)
